BEES

Bees
In recent times I have started going around the places outside the city where I have never gone before to know the realities and the reasons of each reality. And on a such visit was when I came across a group of bees which were dead in a farm.
When I enquired the farm keeper how did these bees die, they had no clue since they did not kill them or burn them for honey. So what exactly has happened? With this question I asked people who I know and with the help also from google I started receiving shocking news about the bees.
Since 1990s, beekeepers around the world have observed the mysterious and sudden disappearance of bees, and report unusually high rates of decline in honeybee colonies.

Bees make more than honey
- They are the key to food production because they only pollinate crops.
People when they talk about Bees they only talk about Honey and nothing much, but the reality is for us to be in this world we need food and they are the main reason to generate food for us.
We would have read this word in our schoolings – POLINATION. Every crop is been pollinated only by the bees, think if there are no bees, humans have to jump on to each and every crop to pollinate. Is this possible I don’t know?

Threat
A major threat to bees comes from the toxic chemical pesticides used in agriculture. Most of the pesticides are real bee-killers, which causes acute and chronic poisoning with deadly consequences for individual bees and entire colonies. If these bees take honey from these plants I am not sure if they are real honey?

A report says if honey bees are not there in this world man cannot live more than a year…. Of course they will start hunting animals…
Just a request to people who read this if you see bee hives are getting destroyed or people spraying pesticides on bees please stop them. Colonies and colonies of bees extinction in this world is not good to the environment and for us. Please share your thoughts..

NO BEES NO FOOD
Let’s save the Bees…

The story of baked cake - IDLY

I recently went to a hotel and had a IDLY.. and found it very soft and tender... and was wondering who invented this..

Everyone at least in south India would not have failed to have this wonderful dish IDLI. It is the first menu in all the hotels and restaurants, to be frank I dont know why? But May be this dish is so sentimental to our food industry.

Idli is a savory cake of south Indian origin popular throughout India. The cakes are made by steaming a batter consisting of fermented black lentils and rice. The fermentation process breaks down the starches to make it soft and edible.

Mostly IDLi is had during breakfast or as a snack, idlis are usually served in pairs with chutney, sambar, or milagai podi.

Idli was known in India by as early as 700 AD. The process of steaming was influenced from Indonesia subsequently between 800-1200 AD, giving rise to the modern day Idli. It seems that IDLI have started as a dish made only of fermented black lentils and not with a mixture of rice, and the preparation of idli is by soaking urad dal in butter milk, ground to a fine paste and mixed with the clear water of curd, and spices. There is no known record of rice being added until some time in the 17th century. It may have been found that the rice helped speed the fermentation process. Although the ingredients used in preparing idli have changed, the preparation process and the name have still remained the same. The word "Idly" is said to be of Kannada or Tamil origin. The words ittu, idu and aavi in Kannada means cooked by 'keep'ing in 'steam' and in Tamil the words ittu and ali means the food which is cooked/baked and served.

In the olden days, when the idli mold cooking plates were not popular or widely available, the thick idli batter was poured on a cloth tightly tied on the mouth of a concave deep cooking pan or tava half filled with water. A heavy lid was placed on the pan and the pot kept on the boil until the batter was cooked into idli. This was often a large idli depending on the circumference of the pan. It was then cut into bite-size pieces and eaten.

Idlis are usually served in pairs with Coconut chutney or Kaara Chutney, Sambar and milagai podi. Kobbari pachadi and Karampodi are first used to eat in combination of idlis in Andhra Pradesh, specifically in Kostha Andhra Districts.

South Indians have brought the popular idli wherever they have settled throughout the world. Cooks have had to solve problems of hard-to-get ingredients, and climates that do not encourage overnight fermentation.

A variety of nontraditional idlis exist these days, namely, standard idli, mini idlis soaked in sambar, rava idli, Kancheepuram idli, stuffed idli with a filling of potato, beans, carrot and masala, ragi idli, podi idli with the sprinkling of chutney podi that covers the bite-sized pieces of idlis, malli idli shallow-fried with coriander and curry leaves, and curd idli dipped in masala curds.

Most of the people in south India take idli as the breakfast. Idly an easily disgestible food taken with sambar provides a mix of proteins and carbohydrates to the body. Apart from sambar idly is also taken with brinjal/tomato kothsu, puli milagai( a gravy made of tamarind, chilly and onion), vadai curry, etc. Idly with vadai curry combination is most popular in Chennai.

Idly goes very well with Idly powder (Milagai podi (literally Chilli powder in Tamil)). Many varieties of idly powder exist; the most popular ones include the powders made of black lentil/chana dal and Ellu podi (made of sesame seed and dried red chilly).

Apart from many other variations of Idlis in Karnataka, the people of Karnataka can be found continuing the old way of making the idli. The finished product is called Uddina idli, with the main ingredient remaining Urad dal (black lentil).

I don't know how many people are going to run to eat an IDLY... Enjoy your IDLY..

*Will contain one of the Ingredient statements

Hmmmm… I googled few items to know the characteristics of each ingredient.. I was totally drowned after I saw some 10 names in the list, none of them were healthy.
But I have seen in their advertisements that they use herbs for their tasty ingredient. But in reality this looks like a chemical industry rather than a restaurant.
KFC has been a part of the American traditions for many years. When I had a chance to be in America I have seen people flocking into KFC, Many people, day in and day out, eat at KFC. Do they really know what they are eating?
During a recent study of KFC done at the University of New Hampshire, they found some very upsetting facts. First of all, has anybody noticed that just recently, the company has changed their name?
Kentucky Fried Chicken has become KFC. Does anybody know why? The reason why they call it KFC is because they can not use the word chicken anymore.
Why?
KFC does not use real chickens. They actually use genetically manipulated organisms. These so called "chickens" are kept alive by tubes inserted into their bodies to pump blood and nutrients throughout their structure. They have no beaks, no feathers, and no feet. Their bone structure is dramatically shrunk to get more meat out of them.
These are called "Mutant Chickens"
This is great for KFC because they do not have to pay so much for their production costs. There is no more plucking of the feathers or the removal of the beaks and feet. The government has told them to change all of their menus so they do not say chicken anywhere. If you look closely you will notice this. Listen to their commercials, you will not see or hear the word chicken mostly. May not apply in India when we have so much legal loop holes and basically we don't know the reality itself.

I find this matter to be very disturbing. I hope people will start to realize this and let other people know.

The chickens you eat on our Indian road sides which are unhygienic are less harmful than KFC chicken.
I have the choice to tell the truth, but let the consumers decide to eat or not…

Everyone wants only to live!!!

No one wants to die: everyone wants to live as long as he/she can drag on.

This tendency can be seen not only individually but also collectively in the community, society, and nation as well.

There is a hard struggle for life by all kinds of living entities.
The living being is eternal by nature. Due to his bondage in material existence he has to change his body over and over again.

The living entity has to work for his livelihood because that is the law of material nature. If he does not act according to his prescribed duties, he transgresses the law of nature and binds himself more and more to the cycle of birth and death in the many species of life.

Other life forms are also subject to the cycle of birth and death, but when the living entity attains a human life, he has the opportunity to get free from the chains.

Ordinary men wish to perform good work in order to be recognized and achieve some higher status in life in this world or in their conception of heaven, but more advanced individuals want to be free altogether from the actions and reactions of work.

An ordinary man works for his own sense enjoyment. When this principle of sense enjoyment is extended to include his society, nation or humanity in general, it assumes various attractive names such as altruism, socialism, communism, nationalism and humanitarianism. While these "isms" are very attractive forms of bondage, to alleviate them.

There is no harm in becoming a family man, or an altruist, a socialist, a communist, a nationalist, or a humanitarian, provided one executes those activities in relation to the conception.

Human life is distinguished from animal life due to its heavy responsibilities. Those who are aware of those responsibilities and who work in that spirit are called godly persons. Those who have neglectful or who have no information of those responsibilities are the direct opposite.

The lower species of life have the same intrinsic desires that the human form does. They all want to eat, they all want to sleep, they all want to procreate, and they all want to defend their turf. Their economic necessities are as important to them as ours is to us. The difference is that the lower forms are governed by the laws of nature,  where the human form is always given a choice and his actions always produce a reaction.

There is a good example of this: the other day I was driving my vehicle on a busy highway when I noticed a dog crossing the highway. He did not look both ways. He did not stop when a car approached. He just went for it. Fortunately, he made it across alive because all the drivers had the choice to stop, swerve, or kill it.

So, why is a human given a better life than that of the lower species? Or, why is a high government official given better facilities ? The answer is that the highly placed officer has to discharge duties of higher nature. Similarly, the duties that the human beings have to perform are higher than those of animals, who are always engaged in feeding their hungry stomachs.

Yet, our modern soul-killing civilization has only increased the problems of the hungry stomach. When you talk to a polished animal in the human form and ask why he takes no interest in self-realization, he will say that he simply wants to work to satisfy his stomach and those that he is connected to and that there is no need of self-realization for a hungry man.

We are given this human form of life not to work hard like beasts of burden, but to attain the highest perfection in life. And yes, some feel that that perfection is a big house, a fancy car, expensive toys and an endless life.

The bottom line is that as human beings we are not meant to solve the economic problems of a house built by the ocean during low tide, but for solving the problems of the material life we have been placed in by the laws of nature.

That begins with some basic realizations. First and foremost the Supreme Person resides next to us, the spirit soul, in our heart. This makes our bodies a sacred temple. If we utilize and understand that blessing and sincerely ask Him to allow us to know about Him, He will put us in contact with His living representative.

A simple analogy is this: we see an attractive male or female and we want to get to meet and know them. Is it easier to just walk up to them and say you want to be with them, or is it easier if a common friend can introduce you to them?

It is no different to develop a relationship. It just takes sincerity. It might take a while but it will happen.

Try Try and you will succeed.. Thanks for reading this post...
